Almost lost to time, but found by chance
Construction workers renovating the entrance to Hunt Union uncovered a time capsule from the 1970s, Wednesday, June 17. The capsule had been sealed behind the building's 1972 datestone for more than 50 years. Inside, staff found a snapshot of campus life in the '70s, including a student handbook, a schedule of campus events and an issue of The State Times. Campus leaders are seeking suggestions for items to include in a new time capsule to fill the empty place.
Impacts of dams on river herring populations through their native range: what’s left?
Abstract Introduction: River herring (alewife, Alosa pseudoharengus, and blueback herring, Alosa aestivalis) are native along the East Coast of North America. These fish are culturally important and provide critical ecosystem linkages between marine and freshwater habitats. Due to overfishing, and habitat loss (through degradation and damming), river herring populations are at historical lows across their native range.

The Impact of Network Centrality on Related and Unrelated Knowledge Transfers in Alliances
Abstract The formation of R&D alliances is a viable option for firms to supplement their in-house R&D and share the costs and risks inherent in innovations. Strategic R&D alliances promote knowledge transfers in alliance-related areas (intended knowledge transfers) that serve the common scope of the alliance, while also leading to spillovers of knowledge in alliance-unrelated areas, outside the scope of the alliance (unintended knowledge transfers).
