When we reach the age of reasoning we start to stop listening to our spiritual sense (intuition) and listen to thoughts influenced by others and such. We do not lose total sense of hearing the spiritual world because we do have those of negative influence that speak into our ears even as adults that cause us to reason against what is really going on in our life. This has been going on since the time man was created and ejected from the Garden of Eden.
