What was your first job as a journalist?
In high school, I got an internship with Local News 8 located in east Idaho. The experience there proved to be foundational to my career.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
No, but it's on my bucket list of things to do!
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I'm always finding new software, but my staple softwares are Adobe Audition, Coda.io and Adobe Illustrator.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
In college, I covered a case that proved to be very emotional the community. All sides of the story were pleased with the coverage.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
When you start writing an article, just let it all out - the good, the bad and the ugly. The best will rise up from there.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Listening to a podcast or learning new skills.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I like to read a variety of content, but I tend to spend time in more tech publications like Wired or Tom's Guide.
