Yuri Suzuki's Furniture Music
Created by London-based sound artist and designer Yuri Suzuki, the Furniture Music exhibition aims to redesign the soundscapes of contemporary living spaces. The goal? To reduce noise pollution and enhance the feeling of well-being in homes.
Cámara Catamaramétrica
Designed by Mexican architecture firm S-AR, Cámara Catamaramétrica is an experimental project that delves into the concept of exploration. The structure floats on the waters of Presa de la Boca lake in Santiago, Mexico. While it has a mobile design, the floating pavilion resembles a living space more than a ship or boat. The name refers to the traditional cataramans used by the fishermen on the southern coast of India.
Abstract Sculptures By Christopher Kurtz
Born in 1975 in Missouri, Christopher Kurtz grew up in an artistic environment. He went on to study sculpture and landscape architecture before working for a few years as a studio assistant for renowned artist Martin Puryear. After opening his own studio in 2005, Kurtz began to focus on his sculptural work and furniture design. The artist works in solid wood and metal, using traditional techniques to craft each piece of art by hand.
Human Element By Collin Townsend Velkoff
Multidisciplinary artist Collin Townsend Velkoff creates artworks that focus on materials, form, and perception. With the Human Element series, he explores the relationship between humanity and nature. More specifically, the series of sculptures aims to capture humanity’s dependency on the environment and its materials. To create the artworks, Collin Townsend Velkoff developed a sand casting technique which also became an important part of the series.
The Jack Lamp Family
Portuguese designer and artist André Teoman makes bold and eye-catching products and artworks that tell a story. His work often features whimsy and surreal details as well as vibrant colors and playful designs. The Jack Lamp Family series follows the same pattern, but adds plenty of humor to the mix. It’s a conceptual series that blurs the line between sculptural artwork and functional design. The collection also provides a new take on lighting.
Elda Bellone - Encoded Icons
Born in Italy, architect, designer and artist Elda Bellone is currently based in Brooklyn, NYC. From an early age, her creative pursuits defied categorization. Blurring the line between art languages, Elda Bellone’s work occupies an area of “open design” that views function and form through an innovative point of view. Multi-functional objects, architectural details incorporated in product design, a blend of analogue and digital techniques.
