Microbial inoculum effects on the rumen epithelial transcriptome and rumen epimural metatranscriptome in calves - Scientific Reports
Abstract Manipulation of the rumen microbial ecosystem in early life may affect ruminal fermentation and enhance the productive performance of dairy cows. The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effects of dosing three different types of microbial inoculum on the rumen epithelium tissue (RE) transcriptome and the rumen epimural metatranscriptome (REM) in dairy calves.

Recently, the use of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) has increased dramatically and has been shown to contribute significantly to major complications such as central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSIs).
Staphylococcus aureus-derived membrane vesicles exacerbate skin inflammation in atopic dermatitis
Skin colonization or infection with Staphylococcus aureus is known to trigger aggravation of atopic dermatitis (AD). However, the exact mechanisms by which S. aureus can worsen AD are unknown. We investigated whether and how S. aureus-derived membrane vesicles (MVs) contribute to worsening of AD. Immunohistochemical and immunoelectron microscopic analyses were performed to detect staphylococcal protein A (SPA) in the epidermis of AD lesions. HaCaT cells were treated with S.
COST EFFECTIVENESS OF EVEROLIMUS IN COMBINATION WITH REDUCED TACROLIMUS FOR LIVER TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS
Recent trials demonstrate that everolimus (EVR) in combination with reduced tacrolimus (rTAC) significantly improves renal function compared to tacrolimus (TAC) alone in liver transplant recipients. This study aims to conduct a cost-effectiveness analysis of EVR + rTAC for liver transplant recipients.
