A High-Isolation Dual-Polarized Ku-Band Array Based on a Surface-Mounted Antenna Element
1 Introduction Broadside dual-port dual-polarized (DP) arrays with high port-to-port isolation have been widely applied into point-to-point communication systems to obtain two independent transmission channels. Traditional microstrip patch antennas, excited with edge feed [1] or slot-coupled feed [2, 3], are often used as the radiating element of the DP arrays, and an isolation level (IL) of around 20 dB is achieved.

Municipal Wastewater as a Microbial Surveillance Platform for Enteric Diseases: A Case Study for Salmonella and Salmonellosis
Municipal wastewater (MW) contains a conglomeration of human enteric microbiota from a community and, hence, represents a potential surveillance tool for gastrointestinal infectious disease burden at the community level. To evaluate this, the concentration of Salmonella in MW samples from Honolulu, Hawaii, was monitored over a 54-week period, which showed positive and significant linear and rank correlation with clinical salmonellosis case numbers over the same period.
Safety and efficacy of sofosbuvir-based treatment of acute hepatitis C in end-stage renal disease patients undergoing haemodialysis
|
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in patients undergoing haemodialysis is prevalent and aggressive. The treatment of chronic hepatitis C has been revolutionised by the advent of direct-acting antivirals (DAAs). However, the safety, efficacy, and tolerance of DAAs in the treatment of acute HCV infection in patients with end-stage renal disease who are on haemodialysis are unknown. To evaluate the safety and efficacy of sofosbuvir plus daclatasvir in this specific, difficult-to-treat population.

Growth and stability of rocksalt Zn1−xMgxO epilayers and ZnO/MgO superlattice on MgO (100) substrate by molecular beam epitaxy
Zn 1−xMgxO films with x = 0.04–0.50 grown on MgO (100) substrates by molecular beam epitaxy retain the rocksalt (rs) crystal structure and grow epitaxially for x ≥ 0.17. In addition, the rs-ZnO epilayer is observed to be stable up to a thickness of 5 nm and also in a ZnO/MgO superlattice sample. However, a portion of the superlattice has transformed to wurtzite (wz)-structure islands in a self-accommodated manner during growth.
