What was your first job as a journalist?

Copy Editor at The Progress-Index, Petersburg, Va.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes, in elementary school. My local library still had typewriters.

How is social media changing news?

It spreads local stories across a larger realm, but it opens it up to falsehoods and inaccuracies.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was the editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper, but it folded after my sophomore year.

What's your favorite drink?

Cherry Coke Zero Sugar

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

In a movie theater or out and about with my camera.

Paper magazine. New York magazine, Hollywood Reporter, Bright Wall/Dark Room
