Ghostwire - Tokyo - Review
A year removed from our original review of Ghostwire: Tokyo and it has finally made it to the Xbox. So, how did opinions change since last year? I’m glad you asked because that’s why I’m typing this review. Anyway, while the game still has some issues with pacing and content, the overwhelming feeling of dread and a city filled with unnerving creepiness still dominate the gameplay.

Hi-Fi Rush Review - Feel The Heat, Sync To The Beat
Developed By: Tango Gameworks Published By: Bethesda Softworks Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, PC Reviewed On: PC (Gamepass) Personally, I find it rare for me to enjoy music or rhythm-based games as this genre can often be overly challenging, restrictive, and difficult to dive into. However, surprisingly I do have a fondness for titles such as Gitaroo Man, Space Channel 5, Parappa The Rapper, and Elite Beat Agents.
Hi-Fi Rush Review
It’s good to know that a more complicated and far more entertaining Space Channel 5 has entered the match. Hi-Fi Rush is an incredibly unique game that combines musical timing, action, witty humor, and compelling characters to put a beautiful feather in the cap of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. Let’s get right into it. Story of a musician Well, sorta a musician. The story of Hi-Fi Rush revolves around a budding musician named Chai, who is looking for an ‘arm’ up in the industry.

'Hi-Fi Rush' is an action rhythm game you can play today
3 minutes ago Engadget Here's a pleasant surprise from Xbox and Bethesda's Developer Direct showcase: a full game you can download (almost) right away. The Evil Within studio Tango Gameworks has unveiled Hi-Fi Rush, a combo-driven brawler with rhythm game elements. You play Chai, a would-be rockstar who fights a robotics company with the help of the beat. Think Devil May Cry or Bayonetta crossed with a music game, or a very pretty spiritual sequel to Crypt of the NecroDancer.

Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5) Review
I want to like Ghostwire: Tokyo more than I do. Its mix of modern-day Tokyo coupled with Japanese folklore and urban legends makes it compelling to explore, as yokai and neon lights stand side by side amidst a story focused on how people respond to the death of a loved one. Yet it also feels rote and fleeting, as the combat becomes stagnant, and the plot and characterization become thin for a long period. It’s an interesting world, but one that I don’t want to spend a lot of time in.
Ghostwire Tokyo Visitors Draw Inspiration from Japanese Folklore and Urban Legends
Ghostwire: Tokyo tells the story of one of the last remaining humans to survive an apocalyptic event where almost all of Tokyo’s population disappears in an instant. The Ghostwire: Tokyo population is replaced with paranormal Visitors from another world, and Bethesda has revealed how Tango Gameworks has been drawing inspiration from Japanese folklore, urban legends, superstitions, and yokai in their creation. Who are the visitors in Ghostwire: Tokyo? The Kuchisake is a hostile visitor.

Before the Review: Ghostwire: Tokyo is a Great Game That Plays it Too Safe
Jason FaulknerMonday, March 14, 2022 Ikumi Nakamura announced Ghostwire: Tokyo at E3 2019 in a showcase that would launch her to internet fame. Her enthusiasm alone made this a game to watch for many. Two years later, the end result is a game that mixes eastern storytelling with western game design in a combination that leaves a strange taste on the palate. I love the setting, characters, and story so far, but it feels like it plays it too safe in some regards.
