Variant filtering From six collected families (3−5 individuals per family), twenty-three individuals, including either one or two healthy controls within each family, were processed to WGS. Variants segregating in the family, leading to altered protein structure, were identified as candidate variants. A total of four, six, three, five, two, and two candidate genes were reported for families no. 1, 10, 11, 13, and 15, respectively. Six filters were stringently appliedto select the best candidates.
