Tara Carman’s Biography

Tara is a senior investigative reporter and data journalist with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation based in Vancouver, Canada. She reports nationally for CBC radio, television and online news.
Before joining the CBC in 2017, she spent 10 years in the Vancouver Sun newsroom as a reporter, data journalist and copy editor.
She also reported for Postmedia News and its predecessors from Ottawa, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia.
She holds a master's degree in journalism from Carleton University and BA in international relations from the University of B.C.
Tara grew up in the Victoria area, where she got her start in journalism as a community news reporter.
