Saluting our Veterans!
When thinking of Veterans Day, the first veteran I thought of was my own step-father, Gene Miller. I have never really asked details about his time in the Army, but was curious. I love to hear the stories of any military veteran and the places they have been. Gene attended Jenkins County High School and in 1983, at 19-years-old, he […]
Head to Toe Salon
After all the raking, pulling limbs, and digging in the dirt in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene for the past three weeks, I decided that I defiantly deserved a little pampering. This & That - The Millen News
Two weeks into this time change and I am still mad that I lost an hour of sleep! I’m still trying to catch up. Now, I do love the longer days, but longer days mean longer time to do chores and play outside which then completely gets me sidetracked on the time. And, before I know it, it’s 8 p.m., […]
This & That - The Millen News
It is the season for wild daffodils growing in ditches up and down the roads. Half the flowers in my yard are some that I have seen growing in a ditch or on a dirt road and stopped to snatch up. Thank the Lord I don’t have any reactions to poison ivy and oak, because when I say I am […]
This & That - The Millen News

Maybe it’s just me… “Whatever, eat the dang Takis for supper and eat a green bean too”. Mine are only 11 years old, and I have raised them to eat everything I eat (which is everything). Up until a […]
