Have you ever used a typewriter?
The first typewriter I ever used had a key missing and I had to go through the text and put in the 'o's. Have used both manual & electronic.
How is social media changing news?
Immediate and selective - choose the news you want to read and when.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
That one has the ability to string together the why, when, what, where and how of a story grammatically & coherently
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
It used to be a crayon and a slate but wet assignments were a problem. Now use an ancient Mac laptop, text software and Dropbox
What's your favorite social network?
No favourites ~ I like 'em all in equal measure.
Who do you wish followed you?
That question invites a sexist answer.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Researching and re-writing the Otago Central Rail Trail (Charitable Trust) 'Places' copy for the Website. (Yet to be posted).
When's the best time to pitch you?
Between 10am and 6pm (+12 GMT not allowing for Daylight Saving). Use Skype (it's cheaper) or email (for a more considered reply).
