What does it mean to be a journalist?
To me, being a journalist means helping people understand what is happening and why it matters. It requires accuracy, fairness and curiosity.

One of the funniest was probably for things that were definitely not breaking news and it is used too much.

For AI and technology coverage, a strong pitch includes the main news, credible sources or data, and a clear angle beyond just “we launched.

Why did you become a journalist?
I became interested in journalism through digital publishing and technology coverage. AI and emerging technology move quickly, and I wanted to help readers understand what is actually important, what is changing, and how it may affect work, business, and everyday life.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The biggest misconception is that AI news is only about new tools or hype. In reality, the beat is much broader — it includes research, infrastructure, policy, business adoption, hardware, ethics, and how AI is changing everyday workflows.
