What was your first job as a journalist?
Back in 2009 when I became a writer/assistant editor for Fake Walls (originally known as The NJ Underground)

No.
How is social media changing news?
Social media is offering a plethora of different views for ongoing news stories.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Clark Kent
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means to put your own spin on the situation but not shy away from the facts.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
I honestly can't remember.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I don't have a preference.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Wordpad and the good ol' internet
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter
Who do you wish followed you?
I don't wish for people to follow me. If they want to, then they can go for it.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love music, and I want to help out a lot of the smaller acts out there.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I really enjoyed my review of X Japan's performance at Madison Square Garden.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be yourself. Don't try to emulate how another journalist works.

Whenever you want
What's the best pitch you ever got?
That's actually a rough question. I've received plenty of great pitches.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A pitch where the publicist called recipients of the press release "bitches" in the title, which was actually the song they were pitching.
What's your favorite drink?
Water.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At a concert or comic book store

That it's an easy field to get into.
