Yes, I learned to type on one when I was 8.

Why did you become a journalist?

So I could make my life's work satisfying my curiosity and telling stories.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I wrote, edited, and published my high school's "alternative" newspaper, AKA the one unauthorized by the administration.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be persistent, make every word count, love to write, travel widely, consider your curiosity your greatest tool.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Friday afternoons, because nobody else pitches then, and I'm working.
