Sarah Bennett’s Biography

Sarah Bennett is a full-time journalist, editor and designer currently living in Long Beach, CA. She is the Executive Editor of the Long Beach Post and has been a freelance writer for nearly a decade covering music, arts, beer, bicycles and other local culture for L.A. Weekly, O.C. Weekly, The District Weekly, Paper Magazine, Beer Advocate Magazine and more.

She is the former Managing Editor for City Beat Long Beach and a two-time graduate of USC, where she got her BA in Communications and her MA in Specialized Journalism with an emphasis in music criticism. Her thesis was entitled "Whatever Happened to Suburban Rhythm" and focused on the untold influence the City of Long Beach has had on popular music since the 1980s.
