Post Fave classical music thread
A thread for your favorite classical pieces from Baroque to Modern. Now I realize classical music is not popular, but I like it. Post renditions of familiar pieces or stuff not on CDs, or whatevs. Post!
What you're thinking about right now, Creativity Edition
All right! I've been pondering starting this thread for ages but never had the guts. Here it goes. Similar to its namesake thread, this thread is for typing what you're thinking about, EXCEPT the theme is creativity. Type what you're thinking about whatever creative/artistic endeavor you happen to be engaged in. Writing, poetry, screenplays, film, music, dance, photography, arts (any kind), crafts, design, whatever medium you use, whatever you're thinking about it, share it here.
Screw it, anyone in the Cardiff area?
#1 · 38m ago In 10 years on this site I've never actually met anyone from it IRL but I'm extremely isolated and the only way I can think to fix that is by actually meeting people. So... any South Walians looking to be vaguely more social with other anxious folk? I'm 37, would probably feel more comfortable with guys or trans/nb people.
ACT and values
#1 · Been a while since I made a thread on here but my life is getting worse so wth. My GP linked me some online self-help stuff and I've been watching ACT-ion for Living session videos. It all seems fairly straightforward for normal people, those whose brain wobbles are purely because of brain wobbles, not because of long-term external factors. Anyway, one of the exercises is to figure out what your values are. And I really can't do it.
Survived my first Pride festival!
Ngl, I was dreading going. So many firsts were gonna happen; first festival, first live music festival, first time out in Cardiff on a big event day, first time dressed up quite nice. I was going with my housemate, who's a big music festival fan, so he knew what to expect (plus he doesn't have anxiety at all so he didn't care what might happen). We were aiming to get there at 1pm so that we could have a quick look at the Big Queer Picnic first.
