1 INTRODUCTION An important consequence of harvesting populations is a change in their genetic dynamics (e.g. Allendorf et al., 2008; Kuparinen et al., 2016; Kuparinen & Merilä, 2007; Ryman et al., 1981; Waples, 2005). Harvest affects the genetic drift by changing demographic parameters, such as generation time, age structure, fecundity and survival, and the genetic variation in a population (Allendorf et al., 2008; Ryman et al., 1981; Sæther et al., 2009).
