Letter: Reserve half of North Dakota's Legacy Fund for everyone
This proposal is simple: allocate half of the money in the oil Legacy Fund to all the eligible citizens of North Dakota and their dependents, spread out over a long time. There is currently almost $8.3 billion in the fund, which amounts to almost $11,000 for every person in the state. Gov.
Letter: 'The Bluest Eye' has no place in required reading assignments
It was brought to my attention that a highly controversial book, “ The Bluest Eye ,” is being used in Fargo's high school curriculum. In particular, Fargo North High School A parent's daughter was given this book as a required reading assignment. Why in the world would a book depicting graphic incest and child molestation be used in a high school curriculum? And what sick individual gives this garbage as a “reading assignment “ to impressionable little girls?
Letter: North Dakota makes yet another top 10 list
December 21, 2021 10:37 AM Through remarkable leadership by Gov. Burgum and our Republican legislature, North Dakota has reached No. 2 among the states in per capita COVID infections. The leaders argued that converting the gasification to hydrogen could disrupt coal mining jobs at the nearby Freedom Mine.
Letter: A rebuttal to Zaleski's arrogant vaccine directive
Dear Jack: I read, with some disdain, your op-ed in The Forum this morning, and it affected me negatively. Therefore, I need to send a mild rebuttal to your arrogant directive. Your figure of 30% of our nation being non-vaccinated must be an estimate, but your calling them “unpatriotic, selfish, and dangerous” is extremely agonizing, and narcissistic. Just who named you czar, in charge of U.S. healthcare?
Letter: The lion culls the herd of the infirm and stupid
To those opposed to getting the vaccination and booster against the COVID virus, I offer this analogy because I am really fed up with you: "The lion culls the herd of the infirm and stupid." In 2020, the COVID "lion" mostly culled the infirm from the US. In 2021, it started going after the stupid.
