Social Media is distributing more information than news and reporting channels.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To report information that adds genuine value to my audience by answering specific questions and solving specific problems.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I'm happy with most pitches, but I do not work for agencies. I do contract work, however.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use Anakin.ai for and Microsoft Designer for all my AI needs. But I use AI for the headlines and research only. My content is 100% human.

Why did you become a journalist?
Because i had an urge to write and create with me that refused to be happy with software engineering. For me, this is a calling.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Read, Dedicate 1 hour daily to reading (I do 2 hours daily). Subscribe to the right feeds. Use a feed aggregator.
When's the best time to pitch you?
5 pm to 10 pm IST.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
If your article makes it to the Google top 3, I'll pay you 100 USD.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A client who insisted on paying just 1 INR per word, and by the word, not the project as a whole.
What's your favorite drink?
Water.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Playing the violin in string quartets or singing bass in acapella choirs.
