Thomas McCorry’s Biography
Thomas McCorry dedicated 20 years of his professional career to Constellation Brands, a global producer of leading beer, wine, and spirits brands, including Corona, Modelo, Meomi, Robert Mondavi, Casa Noble, Mi Campo, and Svedka. Over two decades, he advanced through multiple senior financial leadership roles, building expertise in accounting and controls, operational finance, controllership, business partnership, strategy, and overall financial management. His track record demonstrates consistent achievement, supported by skills in strategic and financial planning, risk management, financial controls, process improvement, mentoring, US GAAP accounting, cost efficiency, valuations, modeling, and revenue management.
He joined the company in 2004 as a Director and was later promoted to Vice President of Global Accounting. In that position, he managed the global consolidated accounting close for the $3.6 billion publicly traded organization, reducing the close cycle by eight days while improving the quality of reporting and strengthening internal controls. He developed global cash flow reporting processes, cutting preparation time by 10 days, and streamlined the consolidation of multi-currency statements. His responsibilities also included conducting detailed accounting research on complex transactions, leading purchase price allocations for billion-dollar acquisitions, creating global accounting policies, centralizing intercompany transactions, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP across both domestic and international operations. He also contributed to the design and implementation of a new global ERP system.
In 2012, he became Vice President of FP&A – Wine & Spirits, overseeing strategic and annual planning for a $2.7 billion U.S. business. Two years later, as Vice President of Commercial Finance – Wine & Spirits, he centralized $150 million in non-price investments, introduced zero-based budgeting, and implemented enhanced forecasting systems. He also developed financial metrics aligning sales performance with company objectives. He restructured the sales finance team into a shared services model that supported both growth and acquisitions without increasing headcount.
He later served as Chief Audit Executive and Senior Vice President & Controller before returning to the Wine & Spirits Division as Senior Vice President & CFO. In this role, he redefined the division’s strategy following a $1 billion divestiture, eliminated $100 million in stranded fixed costs, and built a pricing execution team that improved price realization by 500%. From 2021 to late 2023, he served as Senior Vice President & CFO of the Beer Division, an $8 billion revenue business, where he reduced planned capital spending by $1.5 billion, enhanced governance, improved margins, and implemented a multi-year cost efficiency plan.
Before joining the company, he spent seven years in public accounting at major firms. In 2024, he became Managing Consultant at Pinnacle Growth Strategies, advising organizations on financial performance, risk management, and sustainable growth. He also serves on several boards, supports scholarships, and volunteers in his community. A graduate of SUNY Geneseo, he is a CPA and completed an executive program at Dartmouth College.
