Tom Hanson’s Biography
Tom Hanson is a reporter for Channel One News; an educational news broadcast that airs to 6 million students in middle schools and high schools across the country. Hanson has reported and produced stories on a broad range of global issues -- including drug wars, genocide, and environmental crises -- from a number of countries around the world.
Before joining Channel One in 2013, Hanson was an Associate Producer for the CNN New Day franchise, and Newsroom with Carol Costello. Tom also worked in the DC bureau of CNN, covering the 2012 presidential election, as well as producing graphics for the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.
Hanson graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University with a degree in multimedia journalism in 2012. He is based in New York City.
