Tiana Laurence is a technologist, author, and educator working at the forefront of emerging technologies, including blockchain and artificial intelligence. She is the author of Blockchain for Dummies (Wiley), one of the most widely read introductions to distributed ledger technology, and a contributor to Forbes through the Young Entrepreneur Council. Laurence co-founded Factom, an enterprise blockchain infrastructure company that built tamper-proof record systems for government and enterprise clients. A frequent keynote speaker, she has presented for organizations including Stanford, UC Berkeley, Rice University, NIST, the Department of Homeland Security, and countless industry-leading conferences. Today, she leads Laurence Labs, a boutique software development company and education and research platform focused on practical AI deployment for small businesses and startups.
