Carroll's Offense Is Ready To Roll
Replacing stars on the fly is considered part of the job at Carroll, where players graduate but expectations never do. In 2025, the Dragons were powered by an elite offense featuring two all-time record-setters in Angelo Renda at quarterback (8,716 passing yards) and Brock Boyd at wide receiver (4,186 receiving yards). Carroll came close to a state title, falling to eventual state champion DeSoto in the semifinals.
Young Defense Ready For The Moment
Carroll's defense has long been defined by toughness, discipline and relentless play. Lee Munn has spent his coaching career helping shape that identity, working his way up through the defensive side of the game. Now, as head coach, he is tasked with carrying that tradition forward while putting his own stamp on the Dragons. Munn’s promotion changes his responsibilities, but not the standard he expects. Carroll wants to play fast, physical defense — the kind that forces opponents to earn every yard.
The All-Dragon Pride Era Offense And Defense
Carroll football has never been defined by just one era. Long before the Dragon Pride Era (2006-2026), players such as Chase Daniel, Greg McElroy, Aaron Luna and many others helped establish a tradition of excellence, putting Carroll on the map and setting a standard for the generations that followed. But this is the Dragon Pride Era of our coverage — the players who helped define Carroll football from the past 20 years.
Lee Munn's Turn
On Aug. 27, under the lights of the historic Cotton Bowl, Carroll players and fans stared in disbelief at a scoreboard that hardly seemed real: Jenks 27, Carroll 0. It was halftime of Lee Munn’s first game as Carroll’s head coach, and the night was unraveling fast. Then Carroll struck. A touchdown. Then another. The Dragons kept coming. The deficit shrank, the crowd came alive, and a win that had felt impossible suddenly felt in reach.

Rio Mamba No More
Local Tex-Mex fans are mourning a major loss along Colleyville Boulevard. Rio Mambo Tex-Mex y Más has officially shuttered its long-standing Colleyville location, ending a 21-year run as a neighborhood gathering place. The abrupt exit is part of a larger contraction that also saw Rio Mambo close its outposts in Burleson and Weatherford. The closures leave just the original location at 6125 SW Loop 820 in Fort Worth’s Cityview Centre operational. Since opening at 5150 Colleyville Blvd.
