Trump Predicts GOP Landslide in Midterms as Dems Threaten Impeachment
Breitbartupdated 5m agofirst covered Sep 7, 8:30 PM ET Read the original ↗ President Trump delivered a forceful Labor Day message declaring the GOP will win big in the upcoming midterms, while Senator Tim Scott warns that Democrats are plotting a dangerous post-election power grab. If successful, Scott predicts the radical left will impeach Trump and his cabinet, pack the Supreme Court, and fundamentally reshape American governance.
Tim Scott: I keep wondering: Where do all the stories go?
At some point in our lives, almost everyone has an opportunity to listen to other people’s stories. Whether we are parents or grandparents, veterans or teachers, or simply people who’ve gone through stuff, we humans enjoy telling people about our lives through stories. It’s probably embedded in our DNA that we want to share our experiences, both good and bad, and of course we hope that along the way people will want to listen. They say that truth is stranger than fiction, and to this I agree.
Musings: Oh kindness where art thou?
By Tim Scott These are strange days for those who are in the kindness business. I don’t mean, of course, those who work at being kind. Musings: Wondering where kindness went
By Tim Scott In these divisive times, it is affirming to remember that deep inside almost every human being there exists at least a tiny glowing ember of kindness. Whether in the form of an affirmation of a parent to a child, a simple kindness to a friend or a stranger, or even an anonymous gesture of thoughtfulness that seeks no notice, each of these sends seeds of kindness on wings out into the world.
Musings: Doorways
By Tim Scott There are doorways that we pass through that go both ways, and where we are free to move back-and-forth at will. And then there are other doorways that are more symbolic, for once we move through them there is no turning back. The first doorway is practical while the second is metaphorical. Perhaps you know what I mean.

By Tim Scott Anyone who read "The Great Gatsby" in high school English class or who saw either the 1974 or 2013 film versions will likely remember the recurring symbolism of the distant green light that glowed at night on the dock far across the bay. The word, elusive, has long been associated with this dreamy image and in both the story, and perhaps in life, the light remains just out of reach. kAm(96? u] $4@EE u:EK86C2=5 HC@E6 E9:D[ 9:D >@DE 72>@FD ?@G6=[ E96 &?:E65 $E2E6D H2D 566A :?
Musings: Where the people are kind
By Tim Scott It was late in 2010 when my son decided to return home after his four years away, a span which included college experiences in both New Haven and Boston. Coming home seemed a good idea at the time and has further proven to be so in the years since. Big cities, then as now, can be both lonely and harsh places. And unlike cities, our little valley remains a safe and welcoming place to call home.
Musings: Wagging tails
By Tim Scott There have been dogs around our house since long before I was born and I, like many people, can’t imagine a life without one. For reasons of companionship, we’ve always tried to have two, either litter mates or offset in age so that the older one teaches the younger. Musings: How much is enough?
By Tim Scott Just a few days ago, someone in New Jersey won over $1 billion in the nationwide Mega Millions lottery game. Of course after taxes, the prize amount will be something over $537 million but at those lofty heights, who’s counting? I also venture to say that in a country where the median income is around $75,000, there are few people who have a real grasp of what that magnitude of wealth really means. Not that you don’t hear folks saying that they’d sure like to find out.
Musings: Muddy boots
By Tim Scott A recent photograph appeared that showed a yellow school bus stuck to its axles in a muddy road somewhere in rural Vermont. A little-known fact is that, unlike New Hampshire, Vermont’s percentage of unpaved roads leads the nation at 55 percent. So springtime over to our west is a predictable carnival of running sap, tow trucks and muddy boots. That doesn’t mean that our local school buses don’t sometimes get stuck; in Vermont it just isn’t a punchline.
Musings: The land of the free
By Tim Scott The topic of freedom is daily in high relief here in New Hampshire thanks to Maj. Gen. John Stark (1728-1822), the author of our state motto. Musings: Last tracks
By Tim Scott As this strange month of March, in an equally strange winter, draws to a close, the wild winds and blowing snow make it feel more like January. To the east, the sun tries valiantly to spread its warmth and sometimes, by mid-afternoon, it succeeds. We’re stuck in that in-between place when spring arrives but winter lingers, and after such a snowless winter who doesn’t welcome the promise of what comes next? It is a time, then, for making last tracks.
Musings: The torrents of spring
By Tim Scott On the steep hillside above us, the seasonal streams are roaring. After a long late February week of bitter wind and hard cold, March came in like a lamb and all indications are that winter 2024 may be on its way out. By Tim Scott For those who celebrate Christmas, this has long been a season of fond reconnection. While family Christmas cards have lost much of their luster in this time of common electronic connection, it’s still at least a moment in the year when we remember people near and far who have, over time, been important to us. One of history's most controversial and outrageous sportscars is for sale
Just as Duesenberg, Auburn and Cord were undeserving victims of the Great Depression, the Schuppan marque’s demise was wholly due to the economic upheavals of 1992 and no reflection on the delectable automobile the company produced.
