The Profs Aren’t Alright: How Radical Faculty Fuel The Rise Of Campus Antisemitism
Last week, my home state of Michigan witnessed something truly terrifying: a terrorist attack at a house of worship. The attacker drove a vehicle filled with explosives into a synagogue in West Bloomfield, a suburb of Detroit, just a few hours outside of my district. Thankfully, on-site security personnel quickly intervened — stopping the terrorist and preventing any injury to the innocent children or staff inside.

March 16, 2026, 10:03 p.m. ET “Without hesitation, my mother looked [the principal] in the eye and said, ‘In five years, Walter will either be in jail or in a body bag — and we don’t have time for either.’” This was the story Walter Blanks Jr. told my colleagues and me when he testified in front of the Education and Workforce Committee. Unfortunately, his story isn’t that unusual.

Why Sports Fans Should Cheer on the SCORE Act | Congressman Tim Walberg
If you love college sports — the sound of the marching band, the pride of seeing your alma mater on the field, the thrill of an underdog story — you know that college athletics isn’t just about competition. It’s about community, opportunity and character. But behind the bright lights and roaring crowds, a quiet crisis has been building: student athletes at risk of exploitation, schools navigating a patchwork of conflicting state laws, and a system struggling to keep up.

Why I selected Haverford College to testify before Congress
Antisemitism has taken root at Haverford College. That is why I called its president, Wendy Raymond, to testify before Congress earlier this week. She did not meet my expectations. Since Hamas terrorists butchered more than 1,200 innocent people on Oct. 7, 2023, antisemitism in all its forms is now a daily occurrence at schools across the United States.

Op-Ed: Rep. Tim Walberg: Undoing the Biden-Harris administration's arsenal of bureaucracy
In my home state of Michigan, the average household has spent nearly $28,000 more due to inflation since January 2021. Inflation is crushing families nationwide, and the Biden-Harris administration is the number one culprit. When we look at the bad policies that have brought up costs, most initially point their fingers at the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act, which Vice President Kamala Harris cast the tie-breaking vote to pass.

Op-ed: Rep. Tim Walberg: Does equality matter to you? Support school choice
As parents prepare their children for another school year, lawmakers must turn our attention to improving results for all children across the country. Earlier this summer, you may have seen a video of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that went viral for showing how school choice can create brighter futures for every child, regardless of where they live. This is a discussion America desperately needs to have.

Republicans must give workers a voice
Republicans have a historic opportunity to protect workers. As the Republican National Convention last month showed, the party is the voice of the working class, a trend that Republican leaders can accelerate by rallying around more pro-worker policies. They can start with the Worker Enfranchisement Act, which one of us, Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI), introduced in Congress this week.

Walberg: Biden’s EV mandate strips away consumer choice
Tim Walberg | The Detroit News "Save drivers money” was the final clause in the title of President Joe Biden’s EPA finalized tailpipe emissions rule, which mandates most new vehicles be electric within eight years. It’s not a coincidence this phrase came last. Affordability and the consumer have always been an afterthought for the Biden administration.

My Take: Working together to combat human trafficking
After the release of "Sound of Freedom," many constituents quickly recommended the film to me and were moved by the larger issue: human trafficking. "Sound of Freedom" quickly became one of the most successful independent films in history, and I had the opportunity to meet and discuss efforts to detect and end human trafficking with the inspiration of the film, Tim Ballard. Human trafficking is not a partisan issue.

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! The Biden administration and the far-left’s Green New Deal agenda is coming for your gas-powered vehicle, but it turns out their laser focus on electric vehicles (EVs) may actually harm the very environment they want to protect.

A bill must be passed by both the House and Senate in identical form and then be signed by the President to become law. Bills numbers restart every two years. That means there are other bills with the number H.R. 1525. This is the one from the 118th Congress. We recommend the following MLA-formatted citation when using the information you see here in academic work: GovTrack.us. (2024). H.R. 1525 — 118th Congress: FAIR Act of 2023.
PRO Act puts union leadership ahead of workers
Democratic leadership recently reintroduced the unnecessary Protecting the Right to Organize or PRO Act to appease labor special interests. Unfortunately, labor union leaders and special interests have continued to mislead most of the Democratic Party for years, claiming that unions will cease to exist without the PRO Act.

Happy to serve Michigan’s 5th Congressional District
Following the conclusion of each census, new congressional districts are drawn, often changing representation for Americans across the country. Starting this new term, I have the distinct honor of serving Michigan’s 5th Congressional District, a new district that includes the southern portion of Berrien County. The diverse district also includes the full counties of Branch, Cass, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe, St. Joseph, as well as parts of Calhoun County and southern Kalamazoo County.
Biden’s Thanksgiving tax is here
The holidays are upon us, and families across Michigan are preparing in earnest to celebrate the season. One thing that won’t be cause for celebration this year: Higher prices for pretty much everything. This Thanksgiving, as we gather with loved ones, count our blessings, and cook our turkey dinners, our wallets will be a lot lighter. In fact, this year’s Thanksgiving feast is shaping up to be the most expensive in the history of the holiday. Think of it as President Biden’s Thanksgiving tax.
Guest Viewpoint Mr. President, time to acknowledge the border crisis
By Rep. Tim Walberg Just months into Joe Biden’s presidency, the southern border is overrun. Throughout the Democratic presidential primary, then-candidate Joe Biden foreshadowed the self-made crisis we are now witnessing. Biden called for a surge of asylum seekers to the border, unveiled a far-reaching amnesty plan, and previewed executive actions that weaken border security and incentivize illegal crossings.
Get students back in school now for the best education possible
Rep. Tim Walberg, guest writer The New York Times recently surveyed some of the leading pediatric disease experts in the country — 175 in total — about resuming face-to-face schooling. The scientific consensus? It is safe for students to return to the classroom. In fact, many experts noted the long-term costs of keeping schools shuttered were far greater.
Opinion: Michigan's nursing home order has risked lives
OPINION Tim Walberg and Steve Scalise Published 11:00 p.m. ET June 27, 2020 Throughout the COVID-19 outbreak in Michigan, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has attempted to shield any criticism of her decision-making by repeatedly claiming to rely on the best data and science. Except too often that data is kept under lock and key. And when you dig deeper into the myriad executive orders, a science-based rationale typically turns out to be lacking. Whitmer’s executive order on nursing homes is a case in point.
Allow Michigan to reopen
ANALYSIS/OPINION: Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has extended her stay-at-home order until May 15, which will exacerbate the total disruption of Michigan’s economy and workforce. Rather than forcing the entire state to shut down because of the highly concentrated area of COVID-19 threat, we should be safely opening up Michigan’s economy on a regional basis and limiting activity where we now know the predominant threat is.
Opinion: Congress should get back to work, too
Tim Walberg Published 11:23 p.m. ET May 5, 2020 Eight weeks ago, the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Michigan. In that time span, life has been turned upside down. Restaurants and small businesses have shuttered, schools have transitioned to remote learning, and tragically, too many of our fellow citizens have lost a friend or loved one. In Michigan’s hour of hardship, the Trump administration has been a strong partner as we tackle this unprecedented challenge.
U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg: Emergency relief is coming in fight against coronavirus
Sunday Apr 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM We live in an unprecedented time with an invisible enemy. The coronavirus has fundamentally upended our daily lives and taken a tremendous toll on people’s physical and financial well-being. As our nation battles this pandemic, the House’s legislative response has, so far, come in three phases.
Walberg: Tackling the opioid crisis one year later, need a boost to community initiatives
Rep. Tim Walberg, guest writer Published 4:06 p.m. ET Oct. 30, 2019 Tim Walberg (Photo: Courtesy photo) One year ago, I had the privilege of being at the White House as President Donald Trump signed the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act into law. It was a sweeping package of bipartisan bills, more than 70, that we passed in response to the opioid crisis – a nationwide epidemic that has taken the lives of too many of our friends and loved ones.
Opinion: Beware of Democrats' job-killing agenda
Tim Walberg Published 11:00 p.m. ET July 29, 2019 What resonates with people is the benefits families are experiencing under President Donald Trump’s pro-jobs, pro-worker agenda, Walberg says. (Photo: Carolyn Kaster, AP) The eyes of the nation will be on Michigan Tuesday night as 10 Democratic candidates for president take the stage at Fox Theatre in Detroit. A second group will descend Wednesday evening. Far-left contenders like Sens.
