How is social media changing news?
While it's never been easier to share news with an audience, I'm not a fan of clickbait and the role SM plays in awarding that behavior.
Why did you become a journalist?
I was and continue to be passionate about the subject I cover. I also enjoy nurturing another person's passion for the same thing.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Research your subject heavily. Create and respect contacts/resources. Be open to differing opinions.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
On my couch watching movies and playing video games or outside walking my dogs and taking pictures.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I enjoy reading Metal Sucks. It's a heavy metal news outlet full of eccentric personalities and the community is extremely knowledgable.
