Evaluation of sap extraction methods for nutrient diagnostics in lettuce, cucumber, and tomato in controlled environments
Abstract Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) enables the cultivation of high-value crops under controlled environmental conditions, requiring precise nutrient monitoring to optimize fertigation. Standard practices to monitor plant nutrient status include nutrient leaf analysis (NLA), the reference method, but it does not reflect real-time status.

A Validated GC‐MS Method for Major Terpenes Quantification in Hydrodistilled Cannabis sativa Essential oil
1 Introduction Cannabis sativa L. has many industrial and therapeutic uses. Terpenes, recovered by distilling the essential oil fraction of the plant, are a class of compounds that contribute to the aroma and medicinal properties of C. sativa [1]. Terpenes are often separated during processing of C. sativa flower and then returned to cannabinoid-rich extracts to make a product that more closely resembles the chemistry profile of the unaltered plant material [2].
Constructing a Passive Solar Greenhouse for Season Extension
Bulletin 1566 Additional authors include Alexandra Williams, Syngenta, U.S.A, and Krista Jacobsen, Department of Horticulture, University of Kentucky. This publication is intended to provide general information about the utilization of a passive solar greenhouse for farmers in the southeastern U.S. Readers are encouraged to follow all state and local building codes, regulations, and safety rules when constructing and utilizing any structures.

Accumulation and Histochemical Localization of Cadmium in Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) Leaf and Root Tissue
Keywords: dithizone; heavy metal; light microscopy; SEM Heavy metals refer to naturally occurring elements that exhibit the properties of metals, have relatively high atomic weights, and densities greater than 5 g·cm−3 (Dalcorso 2012; Mitra et al. 2014).

Characterization of Sweet Corn Production in Subtropical Environmental Conditions
Abstract : Weather variability in subtropical environmental conditions of the southeastern U.S. impact sweet corn production in the region, which is one of the most important in the country. Understanding sweet corn performance under these environmental conditions is important to help growers with decision making.

A non-persistent aphid-transmitted Potyvirus differentially alters the vector and non-vector biology through host plant quality manipulation
Abstract The association of plant viruses with their vectors has significant implications for virus transmission and spread. Only a few studies, with even fewer pathosystems, have explored non-persistent (NP) virus-vector interactions that are presumed to be transient. We studied how a NP virus, Papaya ringspot virus (PRSV) influenced the behavior and biology of its vector, the melon aphid (Aphis gossypii Glover) and the non-vector, silverleaf whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Gennadius).
