Timothy Denton’s Biography

Born in California, Timothy Denton has been a journalist for more than three decades, most of it on Wall Street, covering financial markets for a variety of insider publications. He has been a beat reporter, copy chief, deputy managing editor and managing editor, including a five-year stint at Standard & Poor's, where his duties included editing a variety of hard-copy and electronic publications. As managing editor for the company's Corporates and Governments website, his team managed more than 4,000 live pages daily. He was also responsible for S&P's compliance publications.

Currently a senior editor at Richner Communications in Garden City, NY, he has edited six different editions of the Long Island Herald during his two-and-a-half-year tenure.

Denton is fluent in English, German and French and has a reading knowledge of several other languages. He spent 13 years working as an editor and translator in Central Europe, where he specialized in legal, financial and medical publications.

Denton has been on the faculty of the City University of New York and the University of Vienna.
