What was your first job as a journalist?
Freelancing, by submitting columns to European outlets about what I was learning about Catalan politics during my master’s at UPF.
Why did you become a journalist?
My passion is writing—both creative and journalistic. I pursued a career as a journalist so that I can practice my passion everyday.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Interviewing exiled Catalan president Carles Puigdemont for Prospect Magazine
What's your favorite drink?
A house vermouth with a slice of orange and an olive in a grungy bar in Barcelona’s gothic quarter.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
My favorite newspaper is The Guardian, I think they provide the most depth even for breaking news. Foreign Policy mag is another favorite.
