***Submission Thread for the Summer Contest***
I am going to implement a very large change in how we do things. I am, for this contest only, waiving the rules on size limitations. AndyS ran a poll to see how the group feels about this, and the majority of the votes went to not enforcing the size limits. Therefore, there will be no rules regarding size. This is an experiment to see how suspending this rule works out here in the real world. Let's not go crazy with huge files; whatever you see as normal will work.

Do you have a favorite Western movie? I don't, that's why I'm asking you.
Response to debm55 (Original post) Sat Sep 2, 2023, 02:31 PM That's my #1. 2-5 in no particular order are The Outlaw Josey Wales, Tombstone, Wyatt Earp, & El Dorado. There are others, but these 5 I'll watch anytime I notice they're on, even if I'm picking them up in the middle. Reply to this post Back to top Alert abuse Link here Permalink
Drag shows have never bothered me in the least.
Response to no_hypocrisy (Original post) Thu Aug 31, 2023, 04:36 PM used to have the best drag shows ever, put on by their own drag troupe, Le Boy La Femme. I always had a wonderful time there. The Connection was a gay club, and I'm straight, so I would sometimes go with a member of our group who was a lesbian. When we were sitting together, the straight guys would leave her alone, and the gay guys would leave me alone. (I got hit on more than a few times, but it was always very flattering.

How do you like ribs cooked?
Response to debm55 (Reply #29) Tue Aug 29, 2023, 11:31 PM Among their principal useful functions is the ability to go from dry chick peas to cooked in around 40 minutes without soaking them. I could go on at length about various beans but I am not an ďI might want beans tomorrow so I will soak them tonightĒ kind of person. There are a lot of recipes, but there are very few good resources to help understand pressure cooking in an intuitive way.

ive was using a trial subscription to telescope.live that i decided was worth paying for. basically they have a set of professional (super expensive scopes) that are used to shoot pretty much anything in the night sky (except planets and teh moon). they then send you the data for you to process however you wish. I used 2 hours of data from a 27.5" scope in spain. it was a set of 2 minute exposures shot using RGB filters since the camera is monochrome.

The one you posted is also astonishing, esp. when you consider the amount of compression that happens when you post something. Reply to this post Back to top Alert abuse Link here Permalink
ABC News just had a segment on Ms Supreme Court Justice's e-mails on the Jan 6th riot.
Response to mucifer (Reply #4) Fri May 20, 2022, 07:22 PM 6. What law? This is a question I have to see credibly answered. There simply isnít a rule against being married to someone who is politically active. HeckÖ there is t even a rule if she were convicted of multiple felonies. Itís useful negative PR - but it isnít a legal matter for him (let alone something that would get the senate to remove him). Reply to this post Back to top Alert abuse Link here Permalink

Response to tblue37 (Original post) Fri May 20, 2022, 02:19 PM 6. I would love to know When the Jan 6th hearings are to take place, how long the hearings are going to be each day and how many total, and most importantly if they will be televised on all network TV like the OJ Simpson trial was............. If the Network TV stations don't broadcast the hearings in their entirety, it will certainly show which political party owns Network TV Stations across America.............
Hillary's correct again
Response to sop (Reply #1) Mon May 16, 2022, 08:08 PM 28. That is the correct approach to spotlight the underlying reality. The evidence of the depth of criticality the USSC misconduct represents is unappreciated by the general public at this time. It is appropriate and just that their support for misinterpreting the 2nd amendment should be illustrated best when their own personal security is threatened by that conduct. They have sewn chaos.
