Super Bowl LIV - The Results
February 2020 Despite not having the usual Tom Brady-dominated game this year, an excellent performance was put on in Miami for those lucky football fans able to attend. Kansas City Chiefs will bring home the trophy, but one question remains: how well did mobile operators perform under pressure as over 60,000 people took to their phones to celebrate (or commiserate) with each other?
In the race to 5G, don't overlook the continued importance of 4G
By Tom Luke, VP, Tutela on September 6, 2019 5G, Opinion, Reader Forum 5G is the hot ticket item for mobile operators at the moment – we hear about its legendary fast speeds, its ultra-low latency and its ability to handle network congestion in a way we simply haven’t experienced with 4G. However, despite all the hype, we’re likely still a good few years away from a realistic future where that’s the case.
Working with regulators to improve the world’s internet
August 2019 Tutela is committed to helping improve the world’s internet. It’s a purpose that shapes everything we do – from the way we measure network performance through to the types of research we produce. However, we know we can’t do this alone, so Tutela has created a new whitepaper and launched a new complimentary service for regulators to assist them with monitoring the quality of the mobile networks they oversee.

Instead of collecting 20% commission fee, FastGo charges its drivers a fixed daily amount. After Vietnamese ride-hailing firm FastGo announced its debut in Singapore, 500 drivers have signed up 12 hours after registration. “It is a good signal for FastGo in the Singapore market,” FastGo CEO Max Nguyen told Singapore Business Review.

Mexico’s networks and citizens are embracing mobile data at an increasingly rapid pace. Mobile connections grew nearly 5% last year, the nation’s largest operator launched mobile home broadband products, and spectrum from 2G and 3G is being converted to faster 4G. But while networks continue to invest in the latest LTE technology and new spectrum, the demands are greater than ever.
Super Bowl LIII
This weekend, hundreds of millions of eyeballs will be drawn to Atlanta's brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Super Bowl 53. The event isn't just a chance to watch the Patriots win yet again; it's also a live spectacle that can draw over a million visitors into a small area, stressing the communications infrastructure like almost nothing else.
India - Network experience across the largest 10 cities
Airtel's leading performance in Tutela's latest State of Mobile Networks Report for India, published earlier this year, is consistent when looking at the ten most populous cities across the country. Airtel was the clear winner with the highest excellent consistent quality in six of the 10 cities tested including Mumbai and New Delhi. India’s largest city, Mumbai, had the highest average download speed at 7.6 Mbps, while India’s capital ranked sixth overall for excellent consistent quality.
Why Data Monetisation Is The Perfect Match For Online Dating Apps - Global Dating Insights
This is a guest article by Tom Luke, the VP of Sales and Partnerships at Tutela. I know, I know. It hurts to put time and effort into a relationship, only to discover that they’re not the one for you. Why didn’t you listen to your friends when they told you to expand your horizons – that there are other app revenue streams in the sea? And why didn’t you do it before driving away the people who are most important to you – your users?
Anonymous data monetisation is the way forward - but who will get there first?

If the mainstream media’s obsessions match those of the public - which is their job - then privacy became an increasingly important in the last 12 months. Fears over the sovereignty, security and privacy of personal information were rarely out of the news. The year 2016 taught us that intrusive marketing, Big Brother-style surveillance and irresponsible data losses are big issues with the public.
