What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I interviewed Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, in his South Beirut lair in 2000. Also Post Scarcity Economics in the LA Review.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Don't be in it for the money.

The London Review of Books and the Financial Times.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That economics is boring. It is what rules our lives. Bankers like to make it seem tedious so they can take our money while we sleep.
