MY VIEW: Why I will be voting "conservative" on Nov. 3
I am a conservative and proud of it. But since a lot of people don’t seem to understand what conservatism really means, let me tell you what it means to me, personally. I could care less about the “R”, “D” or “I” at the end of a politician’s name.

Which means that the “spiders” will soon be back, too. Not the scary, creepy-crawly, multi-legged kind … the red-flowered kind that pop up out of nowhere and dot the yard with an end-of-summer splash of color.

Since I came to Hawkins County as your editor and publisher in the fall of 2013, I have gotten to know and love so many of you as not only our readers and advertisers, but as neighbors and friends.
