What was your first job as a journalist?

I started out as the Guide for the About.com site for Internet and Network Security.

How is social media changing news?

It is more real-time, which is both a pro and a con.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Telling stories to share information in a way that engages and resonates with the audience.

Brief email summarizing the news / issue and why I--or more importantly my audience--might care.

Why did you become a journalist?

It was an accident.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes. I was a writer for the high school paper.
