But as it enters its seventh decade, this beloved popular musical art form has been diluted by any number of unrewarding additions and reductions. Thankfully, there are still those champions who fly the R&R flag proudly, among them such (relative) young bucks as Ty Segall and Thee Oh Sees.

The List: N.E.R.D. and Future keep it '1000'
Pharrell and Future have never been N.E.R.D.ier. Pharrell and Future have never been N.E.R.D.ier. This holiday season, when you get N.E.R.D., you get Future at the same damn time! With news of an impending N.E.R.D. album (their first in a decade), looming ever-closer, some fans were skeptical of the first Rihanna-assisted single "Lemon." A bit of a stylistic departure, the song seemed to indicate that No_one Ever Really Dies might not retain that classic N.E.R.D. sound.

First Avenue's Twin Cities entertainment empire has a new property coming soon. By the middle of 2018, they expect to open a new bar and restaurant in the Wild Tymes space next to the recently renovated Palace Theatre in downtown St. Paul. By the sounds of it, the final result will be comparable to First Ave's the Depot restaurant; a place to stop for a drink or a bite before (or after) a show. Review: U2 at US Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, 9/8/2017
U2's current tour celebrating The Joshua Tree's 30th anniversary holds up what many consider to be the Irish band's finest artistic achievement. But the folk-flavored rock record is also among the greatest commercial achievements in all of music – selling a reported 25 million copies worldwide.
