'We're Hoping to Continue the Remakes for a While': Falcom Doubles Down on Remaking Classic Trails Games | Push Square
Falcom's set to continue its remake era beyond the upcoming Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. We knew this would probably be the case anyway, especially since Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter has been such a huge success for the storied Japanese developer, but it's still interesting to hear president Toshihiro Kondo come out and basically confirm it.
Trails Dev Has Decided How the Series Ends, as the Finale Targets 2032 | Push Square
Trails developer Falcom has plans to wrap the long-running RPG series up within the next six years or so, and it's now settled on how it all ends. Kondo discusses the Trails series, Kyoto Xanadu, Ys series, and Dragon Slayer Project. Here are the notable tidbits: Recording for the Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter theme song, “Silver Will, Golden Wings,” is already complete.

Recently, company president Toshihiro Kondo commented that the studio needed a break from the ongoing Trails timeline — and so a decision was made to revisit its classic Sky saga, and rebuild it from the ground up. But we wonder whether Kondo foresaw the revival being such a financial success for the developer.
