Trevor Koverko’s Biography

Trevor Koverko is a Canadian entrepreneur based in Toronto, Ontario. He has over 10 years of experience working in blockchain and technology ventures. He became an early supporter of projects like Ethereum, Hashgraph, and Shapeshift before co-founding Polymath in 2017, a company that helped bring traditional securities into the digital asset scene. His work has focused on how technology can impact markets, improve access, and create new tools for investors and businesses. His most recent venture is with SapienAI, a company he co-founded in 2023.

Prior to his career in tech, Trevor was drafted by the New York Rangers, playing hockey at a high level between 2005 and 2011. A serious car accident ended his time in the sport, which forced him to explore new career paths. He later moved to China and completed his studies at Ivey Business School, graduating with an HBA in 2012. That time formed the direction he would follow as he started building and investing in software ventures.

Trevor has founded and supported several public and private tech companies over the years, like Tokens.com and Matador, among others. He launched a virtual reality startup that completed a successful exit in less than a year during the early days of VR adoption. He has also worked with companies in Web3, carbon markets, and digital infrastructure. His work usually focuses on concepts that combine software, community, and new technology.

Outside of his work endeavours, Trevor keeps an active lifestyle and participates in sports like squash, hockey, and jiu-jitsu. He also takes part in philanthropic work, supporting charities focused on education and care for children, like Africa Inland Mission and Brynn Children Home. He stays active in these efforts through sponsorship and mentorship.
