Have you ever used a typewriter?

I had a typewriter as a kid. There's something so satisfying about the chunky keys and "ding" at the end of each line.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Jo March is the reason I wanted to write in the first place.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Telling the truth clearly and usefully, so readers can understand their world a little better.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Google Docs, Canva, Grammarly, and good old-fashioned notebooks.

What's your favorite social network?

TikTok, because it blends entertainment with insight. I use it to spot trends, understand what people are talking about, and experiment with my own creative projects.

Who do you wish followed you?

Louisa May Alcott, if time travel were real. Since it's not, anyone who writes or loves honest, enduring stories like Little Women.

Why did you become a journalist?

Journalism lets me turn curiosity into stories that help people.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My National Geographic piece on awe pushed me deeper into science and storytelling than anything before.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Stay curious, keep it clear, and never lose sight of the reader.

When's the best time to pitch you?

After coffee. Never before.

What's your favorite drink?

Iced coffee, strong, simple, and always within reach.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Either at my local library or a great thrift store. Either way, I'm treasure-hunting.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Right now, Experience Life: evidence-based and practical, the way I like stories told.
