I was assigned to cover a festival in our town.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. When I was a newbie. Our office had a typewriter for our editor who was not techie. I used it when there was no computer available. It was fun.
How is social media changing news?
People get news from social media often. When nees breaks, journalists are expected to cover it. Journalists should also be information gate

Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Journalists are storytellers. They write and report news stories about everything, from politics to social issues to lifestyle and entertainment. I am concerned with social media's influence on people to easily believe in fake news. With information becoming mobile, journalists must also be information gatekeepers. We are vanguards of freedom and truth.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
I can't think of any. ? Hahaha
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I prefer thru e-mail.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I used to carry my laptop during news covering. Now I am using my phone to write my stories. Technology can do wonder...just right now.
What's your favorite social network?
In my country, Facebook is very popular. Everything is on Facebook. The news is on Facebook. Personally, Facebook allows me to keep in touch with family and friends.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love hearing and writing stories from different people I've meet.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was a staff in my junior year. But I was given a break during my seniors as a photojournalist.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The story of ordinary people. Most of them have wonderful and extraordinary stories to share.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Know your facts and stuff.

I didn't it best because it involved about children poisoned at school.

That there was a ghost!

Tea. I'm a big fan of tea-hot or iced tea either sweet or unsweet.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I am watching TV or Youtube. I am hooked on Britcom.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I had several but, sadly, they're out of business. But I love CNN.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That I am rich! Hahaha They think being in the media is glamorous. Hahaha
