YOU WERE THE ONE who was into cars, having grown up without a family car, running all the errands on your bike, grocery shopping for your mom. That was the one you bought for $2, with your mother’s permission. although she couldn’t help you pay for it. Then later you replaced that bike with earned proceeds from yard work, from paper routes, and grocery store, working your way up from stocking shelves to assistant manager. Cars were important to you.

Old Memories Fresh flowers cannot long survive. They do not flourish, do not thrive. Though housed with love and care in vases, receiving reflected sunlit embraces, they’re rootless, soil-less, beyond the sight and nurturing reach of direct sunlight. So the flowers fade, then shrivel and drop their lonely petals on the table top. Old memories though, don’t seem to die, however doggedly you try. You thrust them in a jar or pot, or bury them beyond all thought.

Always Wrong You look at me like I’m insane to think this is alright for you. Then walk away with clear disdain. I swear I don’t know what to do. We’ve been together 15 years, and still I cannot get it right. And now there’s a familiar fear, that you’ll be cross throughout the night. How can I do what you desire, when you can’t say, and I don’t know? I’ve no idea what you require, why many times you turn and go. What’s good today is bad tomorrow. How am I supposed to guess?

It's all about the nose What is it that the nose knows, If it’s in the air that’s where it goes. The smell of cookies baking or fresh bread, Then there’s another, something we dread. This pandemic, coronavirus is who, Working together there’s much we can do. Cover it up and all can be swell, Friends and family, let’s keep them all well. The solution is simple, just wear a mask, No one else should have to ask. But wearing a mask, it’s not enough, There’s more you see, it’s not so tough.
