Long-read whole-genome sequencing-based concurrent haplotyping and aneuploidy profiling of single cells
Most mammalian genomes are diploid, consisting of one haploid set of chromosomes from each parent. Haplotyping reconstructs the unique nucleotide content of the two homologous chromosome sets known as haplotypes. This process is crucial because the haplotypes can have different functional roles [1]. Recent advancements in long-read sequencing technologies provide read lengths over 10 kb and accuracy comparable to next-generation sequencing (NGS) [2].
Clinical evaluation of long-read sequencing-based episignature detection in developmental disorders - Genome Medicine
Twenty patients with a confirmed or a suspected DD for which an episignature is described (Table 1, Additional file 1: Table S1), as well as 40 healthy controls, from the Center of Human Genetics of Leuven were prospectively recruited. For the first phase of our study, we included 11 patients (EPI_01 to EPI_11) representing four diseases as well as five controls.

Wellbeing does not predict change in parenting behaviours among mothers of young children at elevated likelihood of autism - Journal of Child and Family Studies
Abstract Previous research has generally found lower wellbeing levels among parents of autistic children that were related to fewer positive and more negative parenting behaviours. However, these relationships have not yet been studied before a formal autism diagnosis is given.

Water–jet pumps often operate under part-load conditions due to the influence of external conditions.

Language ID in the Wild: Unexpected Challenges on the Path to a Thousand-Language Web Text Corpus
[Submitted on 27 Oct 2020 (v1), last revised 29 Oct 2020 (this version, v2)] Authors:Isaac Caswell, Theresa Breiner, Daan van Esch, Ankur Bapna Download PDF Abstract: Large text corpora are increasingly important for a wide variety of Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks, and automatic language identification (LangID) is a core technology needed to collect such datasets in a multilingual context.
Clinical evaluation of long-read sequencing-based episignature detection in developmental disorders - Genome Medicine
Abstract A subset of developmental disorders (DD) is characterized by disease-specific genome-wide methylation changes. These episignatures inform on the underlying pathogenic mechanisms and can be used to assess the pathogenicity of genomic variants as well as confirm clinical diagnoses. Currently, the detection of these episignature requires the use of indirect methylation profiling methodologies.
Writing Across the World's Languages: Deep Internationalization for Gboard, the Google Keyboard
Authors:Daan van Esch, Elnaz Sarbar, Tamar Lucassen, Jeremy O'Brien, Theresa Breiner, Manasa Prasad, Evan Crew, Chieu Nguyen, Françoise Beaufays (Submitted on 3 Dec 2019) Abstract: This technical report describes our deep internationalization program for Gboard, the Google Keyboard. Today, Gboard supports 900+ language varieties across 70+ writing systems, and this report describes how and why we have been adding support for hundreds of language varieties from around the globe.
