Varsha Jayaprasad

My name is Varsha and I am an aspiring journalist. I have completed my Masters in Media and Journalism from Newcastle University and I am looking for opportunities to grow as a journalist. Literature, Art, and film studies are areas of my interest. I enjoy discussions and observations of various pieces of art and aesthetics.

One of my favorite art forms is cinema. I implore the story-telling capabilities of motion pictures. I look forward to understanding how cinema is a crucial part of society and how it influences the mentality and ideas of various generations.

I have worked briefly as an intern with The Indian Express in Pune and in Friday magazine with Gulf News in Dubai.

I enjoy indulging myself in community journalism and film criticism.
