Victor Sheverda’s Biography

Victor Sheverda is a Construction Project Manager based in the Greater Denver Area, overseeing commercial projects from the early pre-construction phase through to final closeout. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. He earned the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification, demonstrating his ability to lead construction projects using standardized and effective management practices. His approach combines field experience and formal project management principles to deliver reliable results while maintaining timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.

His introduction to the construction field began through work in his family’s residential building company, which specialized in custom homes constructed with Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) technology. This early exposure instilled in him a lasting commitment to sustainable construction. ICF structures are known for their durability, energy efficiency, and resistance to fire, pests, and natural deterioration—qualities that continue to shape his approach to modern construction practices.

He gained practical experience through three summer internships with a major construction firm, working on large-scale developments. These experiences prepared him to transition into commercial construction, where he began as a Project Engineer and later advanced to Assistant Project Manager with a well-respected general contractor in Colorado. He manages subcontractor coordination, procurement processes, contract oversight, and client communication to align projects with defined objectives and expectations in his current role.

His skill set is further supported by his certification in Agile project methodology, which allows him to lead projects in adaptive phases, making room for real-time changes and continuous client input. This flexible and efficient approach has proven valuable, particularly in high-demand environments where project scopes often evolve.

He spent part of his early years in Hawaii, where his appreciation for nature first developed. After relocating to Colorado, he attended Cherokee Trail High School, where he was a four-year varsity tennis player and regularly qualified for regional and state championships. He began his college studies in Civil Engineering before transferring to Colorado State University, where he graduated with a 3.78 GPA. While there, he was a Sigma Lambda Chi Honor Society member and frequently appeared on the Dean’s List.

While in college, he contributed to significant construction projects through internships, including Market Station and RidgeGate Campus in Colorado and restoring the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. He considers the Capitol project one of the most impactful experiences in his career. After graduation, he worked as a Project Engineer on the National Western Center Campus Energy project, featuring North America's most extensive sewer-heat recovery system. He later served as a Construction Estimator, evaluating bids and preparing detailed budgets. In 2022, he became Assistant Project Manager, overseeing contract execution and procurement on large-scale developments such as the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center.

Outside his professional work, he enjoys outdoor pursuits, including hiking, summiting Colorado’s 14ers, and exploring trails in various regions. He also stays active through Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, boxing, skiing, and weightlifting, and supports conservation through his involvement with a national wildlife organization.

Victor Sheverda continues to apply his experience, training, and dedication to quality and sustainability, driving success across the construction projects he leads.
