Officers took the box to Ocean Beach, where they determined it to be safe. Police said that at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21 someone discovered the gray metal box exposed in their backyard in the 2000 block of 42nd Avenue, about a block away from Sunset Elementary School and the West Sunset softball fields. The box was marked with lettering indicating that anyone who found it should contact military or police authorities, according to the SFPD.
