El último trazo de Julio Zachrisson
En 2018, Julio Zachrisson, ya sin vista, aceptó el reto de grabar al aguafuerte una plancha de zinc para una escena de la película ‘El Brujo: Julio Zachrisson’. Aquella demostración se convertiría en su último trazo sobre el metal. Para inmortalizar ese momento, el equipo de Cine Animal solicitó a Dennis Long, amigo y estampador de confianza del artista, una única estampa del grabado. Así nació ‘El último garabato’.
’El Brujo’ participará en los premios IDA del cine documental
Este 6 de diciembre, la productora Cine Animal representará a Panamá en lo que será un evento inédito en la historia del cine documental del país. Por primera vez, una película nacional participará en los Premios Documentales IDA (IDA Documentary Awards), uno de los reconocimientos más importantes del mundo para el cine de no ficción.
Más que una película, un movimiento cultural
Tras su reciente estreno, El Brujo marcó el inicio de un movimiento cultural que hoy se vive en museos, bibliotecas y otros espacios patrimoniales del país: el circuito expositivo Julio Zachrisson. Se trata de una iniciativa articulada por Cine Animal en colaboración con importantes instituciones locales. Su objetivo: acercar al público a la vida y obra de uno de nuestros mayores referentes en el ámbito internacional.

Reconocido como uno de los artistas panameños más relevantes del siglo XX, Julio Zachrisson (1927 – 2021) se sitúa hoy a la par de los grandes maestros de la plástica latinoamericana y mundial. A lo largo de seis décadas de carrera —una, dicho sea de paso, excepcionalmente prolífica— alcanzó un dominio técnico propio de quien dedica su vida a explorar los límites de la creación. Su obra fluctuó entre la pintura, la escultura y el grabado; la disciplina que afianzó su prestigio internacional.
