New to BiggerPockets (Houston) - Looking for Mentors + Active Buyers
Hi BiggerPockets community! I’m based in Houston and excited to officially plug into this space in 2026. My focus this year is simple: learn from real mentors, stay close to community, and build a strong foundation as I grow in my real estate investing journey. I come from a hospitality and legal background. I've worked in consulting groups, restaurants, and other service-driven environments where details matter, consistency is key, and results come down to how well you prep and execute.
“Soft Friend, Strict Mistress”
Working in the land of fetish and fantasy is an unusual gig. It’s the kind of vocation that already attracts an interesting kind of person. My friends who have been at their dominatrix career as long — or longer — than I have are the only one’s who really get it, however, this blog has been a wonderful way for me to express just what it is to be a Domme, and what this unusual career choice means to me as a woman.
When “Tell Me What You Want” Feels like Advocacy for subs
Not asking for what you want means you get nothing. Victoria Gray · Follow Published in Notes From Your Dominatrix · 3 min read · -- Image of Victoria Gray taken by Victoria Gray I’m a mostly-online professional Domme who manages her relationships/dynamics with submissives remotely through platforms like NiteFlirt, LoyalFans, and OnlyFans. I love what I do and have been doing it for years. I’m always learning and become a better Domme every day.
Women Are Superior
By Victoria Gray Earlier this week I had a call on NiteFlirt from a young guy who seemed rather smitten with me right off the bat. At some point he referred to my being a Domme as my "job", I tried to explain to him that it isn't a job, not like how most people consider jobs. At my core, I am a woman. I am gorgeous and know that what I have is worth more than money or gold. I'm well...
Men’s Tears Just The Appetizer
Men’s Tears Just The Appetizer Incels, I’m not sorry I laughed at you. Sometimes I don’t seem to be able to stop myself — being a bitch is so easy, and comes so naturally. Not that I’m ever a bitch to people who don’t deserve it — or haven’t paid for it, begged for it, and cried tears of sweet release when they receive the bitch treatment from me— but damn, was I a bitch to those incel trolls in 2021.
How To Please or Serve a Domme
My inbox is always full of messages from submissives asking to serve me, asking if I am looking for a sub, asking if they could possibly have the chance to please me. All valid questions for the curious. Rather than copy/paste some answers to people though, I have decided to write here so I can better answer most of these questions all in one place, making it easier for submissives to know what to expect from myself and also from other dommes generally.
4 Campus Resources You Must Know About
Colleges and universities offer many resources that stimulate motivation and confidence for students’ future goals. This doesn’t just happen in a classroom. These resources are useful to all majors and are located on most campuses. Take advantage of the following while they are free, convenient and available. Computer Labs Free Internet is a must-have for any college student. Most campuses provide an entire floor of free Internet access.
A Pinch of Creativity
A less than enthusiastic student during my grade school career, there were very few days I actually looked forward to. The most anticipated being—of course—the last day of school. But somewhere in between, there was parachute day in gym class, StarLab day (a giant inflatable planetarium that traveled to area schools, allowing students to crawl through a short, dark tunnel to reach a twinkling sky within), and the occasional field trip.
Looking for Labor, Listening to the Archive
The artist and photographer Taryn Simon once opened an exhibit with a now-widespread observation: “Archives exist because there’s something that can’t necessarily be articulated. Something is said in the gaps between all the information.” Simon gets at something important here, I think. We tend to think of the gaps in archives as, at best, markers of where we need to “fill in” the historical record in the pursuit of some absolute, final body of total knowledge.
Heroines Just as Interesting as Heroes
The video game company Her Interactive adopted the slogan “For Girls Who Aren’t Afraid of a Mouse.” The firm’s fan letters and focus group collections informed my research on how video games are a technological construction of human expression. Her Interactive was a company focused on creating games based on the reception they received from their audience—girl gamers.

Pampered Pooches: Anthropomorphized Dolls
The Strong recently acquired a few anthropomorphized fashion dolls. A dog with a human-like body and an extensive wardrobe is really something to behold. As much as I admired these dolls, I could not help but to ask why did these show-up in the toy aisle and were they successful? Giving human characteristics to animals has existed for centuries. Ancient gods were frequently presented as hybridized human-like animals.
Replaying Pandemic in a Pandemic
Pandemic, 2007, The Strong, Rochester, New York. Back in earliest months of the U.S. COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, you may have missed the flurry of board game articles all recommending the same game: Pandemic, the 2008 cooperative game where players race around a world map to cure four simultaneous infectious epidemics before the world is lost.
From the Page to the Playroom
In 1976, scholar Barbara Bader defined a picture book as “text, illustrations, total design; an item of manufacture and a commercial product; a social, cultural, historic document; and foremost, an experience for a [reader/beholder]. As an art form it hinges on the interdependence of pictures and words, on the simultaneous display of two facing pages, and on the drama of the turning page.” I am fascinated by these works of art. Picture books serve as visual and tactile experiences.
Interior of the Play Lab at The Strong, Rochester, New York. This month we opened our new maker space, Play Lab. It’s a bright, busy place, filled with equipment for assembling, building, crafting, cutting, designing, fashioning, gluing, hammering, programing, soldering, and weaving. Our public programming team and guest services staff will hold facilitated sessions where kids (and adults) can create.
For as long as play has existed, humans have been making dolls in some form or another. The ancient Egyptians carved figures of their deities, Roman children had dolls of famous gladiators, and as time progressed, these artificial chums became more intricate and advanced. Even Thomas Edison would throw his hat into the ring of manufacturing dolls, though he’d have little success with that venture. Nevertheless, the industry of dolls and action figures would be significant for much of human history.
