#2 · Looking for passive speakers that can be placed in landscape bed in full elements. Typically listen at louder volumes. Have a 5 acre lot. Neighbors not a problem. #3 · Placing speakers in a mulch bed almost guarantees that their sound will be unsatisfying. Outdoor speakers benefit greatly by the reinforcement of surfaces. The more reinforcement, the less power you have to throw at them to get an equivalent apparent volume level.

Sonos Beam vs. HK Enchant 800 or 1300
Discussion Starter • #1 • a moment ago I'm trying to choose between the (1) Sonos Beam + SUB + 2 Ones, (2) HK Enchant 800 + Enchant Sub, and (3) HK Enchant 800 + Enchant Sub for a medium sized room and a 55" TV. The room is open on the right. The usage will be 50% HT, 50% music. Appears the HK Citation has gone away. That could have been connected to rear surround wireless speakers. Wondering which of the three options above will sound the best an require the least tweaking.
Two Channel HT and Music System
Setting up a 2ch system for HT and music for a smaller room. We listen at lower volumes and watch only dramas and comedies, no action movies. Music is blues and classic rock. Would really like to avoid clutter (had a Polk Signature 5.1 system for a while) and hence were considering sound bars, like a Sonos Arc full 5.1 with the Sub and rears. Also prefer fewest tweaks in setting up and less powering on/off or switching modes. Looking for a lifestyle system really. Love our Sonos Ones.

Discussion Starter • #1 • a moment ago Folks on the Speakers forum were kind enough to help me out over the last few months test a variety of speakers until I finally found the Wharfedale Diamond 225s sound best for my needs (blues, jazz, rock n roll, prominent vocals, rolled off highs). I'm powering them with a Sony STR-DN1080 AVR. However, I wonder if I could get still better (fuller) music SQ using a streaming integrated amp or 2ch receiver, perhaps with a toroidal transformer?
Wharfedale Diamond 225 vs Polk Signature s15 vs Vanatoo T1E shootout
Discussion Starter • #1 • a moment ago Opened the Wharfedale 225s this morning. Straight out of the box, the packaging is better than the Polk Signature s15 and Vanatoo T1E had (I've owned the latest two for 6 mos to a year). The little black sticky bumps supplied to place on the bottoms of the Wharfedale 225s look nicer and more substantial than the Polk Signature s15 and Vanatoo T1E had. The very first thing I did was listen to top 40 radio on the AVR.
Near-Field Music System
I'm looking for recommendations for a kick-ass near-field listening 2.0 music system for my home office. The speakers will be on my desk on either side of my computer monitors. I'll stream music using Spotify or Tidal from my PC or smartphone using the aux out. Is aux out better SQ than Bluetooth? Budget is $1000-$1500. I'm looking to reduce clutter and wires, so initially thought of two Sonos Ones paired in stereo. This works well for background listening in my living room during parties.

He started his career as a playback singer and then joined Prithviraj Kapoor's Prithvi Theatres in 1944 as a singer and actor. He remained with the company till 1955.
