Challenges to the chiral magnetic wave using charge-dependent azimuthal anisotropies in pPb and PbPb collisions at $ \sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = $ 5.02 TeV : arXiv
Charge-dependent anisotropy Fourier coefficients ($v_n$) of particle azimuthal distributions are measured in pPb and PbPb collisions at $ \sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = $ 5.02 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC.
Search for heavy resonances decaying to a top quark and a bottom quark in the lepton+jets final state in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV
A search is presented for narrow heavy resonances decaying to a top quark and a bottom quark using data collected by the CMS experiment at $ \sqrt{\smash[b]{s}} = $ 13 TeV in 2016. The data set analyzed corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$\smash[t]{^{-1}}$. Final states that include a single lepton (e, $\mu$), multiple jets, and missing transverse momentum are analyzed.
Decomposing transverse momentum balance contributions for quenched jets in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} = $ 2.76 TeV
Interactions between jets and the quark-gluon plasma produced in heavy ion collisions are studied via the angular distributions of summed charged-particle transverse momenta ($p_{\mathrm{T}}$) with respect to both the leading and subleading jet axes in high-$p_{\mathrm{T}}$ dijet events.
Search for high-mass diphoton resonances in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV and combination with 8 TeV search
The results of a search are presented for the resonant production of high-mass photon pairs, specifically spin-0 and spin-2 resonances with an invariant mass between 0.5 and 4.5 TeV, and with a width, relative to the mass, between $ 1.4 \times 10^{-4} $ and $ 5.6 \times 10^{-2} $. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 12.9 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions collected with the CMS detector in 2016 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV.
CERN Document Server
A first search for pair production of dark matter candidates through vector boson fusion in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV is performed with the CMS detector. The vector boson fusion topology enhances missing transverse momentum, providing a way to probe supersymmetry also in the case of a compressed mass spectrum. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 18.5 fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the CMS experiment.
