Synopsis of August Wilson's 10 Play Series the Pittsburgh Cycle
After writing his third play, August Wilson realized he was developing something quite monumental. Collectively, they would become known as the Pittsburgh Cycle — all but one take place in the city's Hills District.
CORONAVIRUS | Kirkus Reviews
A child-friendly introduction to COVID-19. The co-authors calmly and gently walk children through coronavirus basics, from how it’s spread to how it’s changed their lives and the lives of those around them. They hew mostly to colloquial terms rather than medical jargon, referring to respiratory virus particles as “[germs that] float through the air in tiny drops of water,” for instance, but when necessary, important vocabulary is introduced and defined within the narrative.
Mercutio Monologues From Romeo and Juliet
Not to criticize Shakespeare, but the play Romeo and Juliet should feature a little less Friar Lawrence and a little more Mercutio. You could argue that this funny, furious character should have gotten his very own play, but instead, he gets killed off (spoiler!) at the beginning of Act Three! Still, we can rejoice in the few excellent Mercutio moments and monologues.

"Cyrano de Bergerac" by Edmond Rostand: Nose Monologue
In Act One of Edmond Rostand's play, Cyrano de Bergerac, the romantic hero with the unusually large nose is at the theater. He has just bullied a blustering actor off of the stage. The audience is very upset with Cyrano, and a wealthy viscount stands up and declares, "Sir, you have a very big nose!" Cyrano is unimpressed with the insult, and in this monologue he provides examples of far wittier insults (much to the delight of the audience). Young man, I am afraid your speech was a trifle short.
